What is Kinesiology and how can it help me?

Kinesiology can assist you in overcoming and moving forward from a range of physical, intellectual and emotional issues.

Kinesiology empowers you to respond positively to the situations that present in your life.  These small changes within your life, will enhance your understanding of yourself and the interactions you have with others.

Kinesiology accesses the subtle energy patterns in the sub-conscious, using a technique of bio-feedback muscle monitoring and mudra's (specific hand modes).

Acupressure points and meridian lines are an ancient eastern method of understanding how 'Chi' or energy flows throughout the body and interacts with our overall vitality.

At a cellular to sub-atomic level there is energy.
Energetic imbalances are then brought back into homeostasis with sound therapy, acupressure and flower essences.

Sound penetrates the cellular body, acupressure moves the flow of 'chi' into a more harmonious state, while the essences add the underlying emotional understanding of the original attitude.

Each session is tailored to the clients specific condition.  By discovering when the stress originally formed the kinesiologist can clear emotional, physical and energetic stresses that may have been impacting on your well being and life experience.

Emotional

Trauma - Physical/ Emotional
Stress - Work/Relationships
Anxiety
Depression
Grief
Low self esteem

Emotions play a vital role in how we manage and cope with stressful situations.  The emotions that don't feel very nice are often the ones that seem to cause us the most stress.

This is a perfect opportunity to take a deeper look into your subconscious and see if there is an underlying factor that may be causing you to feel this way.

Kinesiology has a unique ability to acknowledge the situation and clear the stress on a subconscious level.

Learning difficulties

ADD/ADHD
Auditory processing
Balance
Movement

Memory
Visual processing

Learning Difficulties can vary in degrees of severity.

It may be that you avoid doing certain tasks, For example. homework/assignments or you may dislike going to school/uni/work.  This is because our brain tells us to avoid doing things that it dislikes or finds difficult.

Kinesiology opens up the pathways of brain by removing these underlying stresses and in doing so will give you or your child the confidence to try until you succeed.

Hormonal

Chronic fatigue
Immune system

Insomina
Thyroid function
Reproductive health

Hormonal imbalances can affect your energy levels, metabolism, sleep cycles and reproductive system.  They also contribute to how well you can handle stress.

The Hypothalamus is located in the brain and controls the regulation of hormones throughout the body. Specific endocrine glands throughout the body receive messages to create more or less of these hormones.

Kinesiology specifically targets the hypothalamus and endocrine glands to clear the underlying emotional stress that has caused the imbalance.

Nutrition

Addictions - Sugar
Metabolism
Energy
Weight Loss

Weight Loss... sugar cravings .... low energy ?

Maybe an incident from childhood has taken the sweetness from life and your are trying to replace that with food?
Kinesiology can help with emotional eating!

Isn't it about time that you tried a holistic approach for your health and wellbeing?

Structural

Hip Pain
Shoulder Pain
Sciatica
TMJ - Jaw pain
Neck Pain

Have you ever wondered why an injured muscle will continue to return to its original stressed state?

Kinesiology has helped many people manage their pain and release the various emotions that have been trapped within their muscles from the trauma of the injury.
The muscle is able to release the trauma and hold its natural position more easily.

Working in conjunction with other therapists can achieve the best results for chronic or acute injuries.

Respiratory

Allergies
Asthma

Lung health
Toxicity
Quitting Smoking

Abstract from Research 'What effect does Kinesiology have on Asthma' by Emma Chamberlain (2016) O'Neill Kinesiology College.
The research was conducted over 7 weeks on five subjects including both children and adults who had been medically diagnosed with Asthma and required preventative medication.  The subjects had varying degrees of Asthma symptoms and were required to complete a Mini Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (mini AQLQ) provided with permission of Elizabeth F. Juniper, MCSP, MSc Professor, prior to the first Kinesiology session and within 2 weeks after the final Kinesiology session.

This research concluded that Kinesiology has a positive effect on the emotional and physical symptoms of Asthma.  In most cases, the severity of this chronic respiratory condition was reduced.

Urinary

Bed wetting
Incontinence
LBL - Light Bladder Leakage

LBL and other bladder issues can arise from child birth or surgery.  The muscles store emotions and can easily become locked on and painful; or weaken and embarrassing or both.

Kinesiology combines muscle work and brain signals to strengthen the weaker muscles and to allow the overactive muscles to finally let go of any pain.

I have seen some fantastic results with my clients for both LBL and Bed wetting.
